KAPO Mineral Board is a sheet manufactured from non-toxic minerals incorporating a woven mesh, which exhibits excellent fire, sound, moisture and mould resistant properties. It is used extensively overseas as an alternative to fibre-cement and plaster based boards, for interior or exterior use. The board is supplied in a range of thicknesses, typically 6mm, 9mm and 12mm, to suit the intended use such as for interior lining, partition walls, exterior soffit, or cladding substrate. The board is fixed to timber or lightweight steel framing using either galvanised clouts or fibretek screws. Joints are either flush-filled or taped prior to application of the finish.
